Ivan Brown, Ph.D., is Manager of the Centre of Excellence for Child Welfare, a national Canadian center for policy development and research, and Director of the Disability Support Unit of the Centre for Health Promotion, both at the University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada.
Ann Fudge Schormans is a Ph.D. candidate in the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto. Extensive professional experience as a Social Worker, in both the Community Living and Child Welfare sectors, informs her academic and research interests in issues related to children and young adults with developmental disabilities in child welfare care.
Emoke Jozsvai, Ph.D. C.Psych. is clinical psychologist at Surrey Place Centre and in private practice providing assessment services for adults with developmental disability. She is part-time faculty at York University.
Polyxeni Kartakis, M.A., is a psychometrist at Surrey Place Centre, an interdisciplinary agency for people with developmental disabilities. She is presently completing her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at York University in Toronto, Canada.
John Lord is a community researcher and facilitator who lives in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. John acted as a consultant to the project described in this article. He is the founder and former co-ordinator of the Centre for Research and Education in Human Services.
Brian Rush is a Senior Scientist with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Ontario. He is currently the Associate Director of the Health Systems Research and Consulting Unit within the Centre and an Associate Professor in the Dept. of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. He holds an M.A. in Psychology and a Ph.D. in Epidemiology and Biostatistics and has over 25 years of experience as a research scientist, program evaluator and trainer. A major focus of his career has been the development and implementation of performance measurement systems for health and social services.
Claire Staniforth is a psychometrist/psychotherapist at Surrey Place Centre, Toronto.
