Criteria

Submissions may include results of ongoing or completed quantitative or qualitative research projects. We are particularly interested in follow-up results and information sharing. Presentations may consist of basic or applied research, program evaluation, critical reviews and meta-analysis of published research, and scientifically-based theoretical arguments. We are also interested in research proposals.

Please Circulate

Please circulate this information to colleagues and students whom you believe would be interested or should be aware of this meeting and Special Interest Group. We strongly encourage student participation and invite them to submit abstracts of their research, including works in progress.

Presentation Guidelines

Presentations can be 10 to 25 minutes with 5 minutes for questions and discussion. Written confirmation and the final schedule will be sent to all presenters when it has been arranged. AV equipment (i.e., laptops, microphones etc.) will be provided; please indicate what you require.

Poster Preparation Information

The poster sessions are designed to encourage members to interact and learn a little about each other's activities and interests. This year there will be a greater emphasis on poster presentations, allowing time for each poster presenter to briefly introduce their work to the group. We encourage you to prepare a poster on one of the following or related topics:

  • Research you have completed, are engaged in, or would like to propose
  • A case study

Preparation Information

You should prepare the poster to be read from about five feet away. You may wish to include about 50 copies of any relevant handouts with your display. (Remember, everyone will receive a copy of your abstract with registration). Make sure your contact name, address and/or phone number is visible on the poster or the handout materials.
